MIT ARMY ROTC SOCIAL MEDIA PROJECT

reel
Excited to share my latest project, "Digital Deception-Hiatus," a part of the SMFA Senior Thesis Program Spring 2024. Delving into digital memory decay and media erosion, my two-channel video installation explores how our digital artifacts evolve over time using techniques like data moshing and Hex code modification.
This project has been in the works since mid 2023.

Key Project Highlights:
-Digital Memory Exploration: Reflecting on how technology shapes and distorts our memories.
- Artistic Techniques: Employing data moshing, Hex code modifications, and projection filming to illustrate media decay.
- Inspirations: Influenced by "Glitch Feminism: A Manifesto" and "Black Mirror," blurring reality and digital deception.

Amidst ever-evolving technology, this project delves into the impermanence of digital memories and unwelcome memory repression. By scrutinizing our digital landscapes, I aim to stimulate discussions on digital footprints and their lasting effects.

Stuttgarter: A Journey of Identity and Belonging

"Stuttgarter" is a video concept that originated in 2019, embodying the rich and often complex experience of being an 'Ausländer' in Stuttgart, Germany. Having spent many formative years in this vibrant city, we delve into the nuances of our identities as we navigate our mid-20s. The project explores the intersection of personal growth, cultural immersion, and the inevitable missteps of youth. Through our lens, "Stuttgarter" portrays the journey of growing up, going out, and making mistakes, all set against the backdrop of a city that has shaped who we are.
